LSC #51 & Happy Birthday Regan!

Happy Friday! I am super happy this morning as I am off work today and it's also a long weekend with Monday being a holiday. I feel summer is flying by so it's nice to have this time.

Today's card was made for the wonderfully talented Regan! She is one of the Loonie Ladies and has left me many encouraging comments over the last few months since I have been blogging. So I was thrilled to play along and send Regan a birthday card. Happy Birthday Regan!! I hope you like your cards.

Be sure to visit the other Loonies so you can see their awesome cards. They have also provided links to some others who have played along in this fun challenge.

Have a fantastic day!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge # 13

I'm pretty sure the only time I use the 'Berry' colours is for Dawn's challenges. In fact, I just realized that I don't actually have a package of Berry Sorbet cs. Good thing I bought the 2008 card stock sampler pack!

My card was inspired by this card my pal Char made for one of Dawn's earlier challenges. I remembered her display of bold colours and went into her archives to search it out.

Now that I have played along I can't wait to come home after work to check out all the other challenge cards. I think I enjoy that almost as much as playing along.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday

This is a quick card I whipped up for a great lady I work with. Her birthday gave me a good excuse, I mean REASON, to try out some new PTI goodies. Loving the new colour and I think I will get a lot of use out of the Everyday Button Bits set. Great stamps for when you need a quick card.

I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am easing back to work after my vacation with a 3 day work week. Gotta love it!

Thanks for popping by.

LSC #50

I have absolutely no creativity in me this week, which is a real shame as my son is away and I have lots of free time to spend in my craft room. Hopefully things will improve as the week goes on. I can't believe I don't feel like making cards.

I also can't believe the Loonie Ladies are at their 50th challenge! That's incredible. Such a fun group of girls and I try to play along every week, even if I had to force it this week...ha ha. The Loonie cards were all fantastic this week. Visit Char's blog to link up!
Oh, and sorry about the crap photo.

On the road again

Just a quick one to share with you. We are on the way home with an over night stop in Salmon Arm tonight. The drive has been great so far. I wasn't sure what to expect with a 4 year old, a 13 year old and my mother all riding along, but so far so good!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Enjoy!

Well, it's our last night on the Island (boo hoo). We had an incredible two weeks out here and I can't wait to return in October. The weather has been incredible and I will miss the ocean. It's also been wonderful to see all the wildlife around the resort as well.

However, I miss my own wild animal, Akuna, and I am REALLY missing my hubby who was only able to spend the first 6 days out here. It will be good to get home. (I'm slightly missing my craft room too ;)).

Despite packing up and trying to enjoy the last day, I did find some time to make a couple of cards and craft with my nephew, Xavier, who will turn 4 on Monday. Of course I had to help him just a little bit, but the design was all his.

And one last shot of the ocean....the tide is really high tonight and I guess that's fitting as I'm moving on! Thanks so much for visiting me!!

LSC #49

Hmmm, I loved the colours but buttons, brads and flowers???? Considering how few supplies I brought on vacation, this one was almost worse that the challenge the ladies put forth last week!! Oh well, I guess that's why they call it a challenge, right? And the Loonie Stampers Challenge is by far my fave challenge out there.

Now a confession. I actually made a different card, one I liked A LOT better. I had a friend come out to spend a few days with us and she remarked that she liked the card. I had used the PTI Absolutely Fabulous stamp on it and it had a big pink flower. Anyways, because we had an absolutely fabulous weekend I gave it to her when she left. It wasn't until today that I realized I forgot to photograph it!

So I whipped this one up quick. It's hard to see but I did use all the elements. My bling is in fact a brad and there is a clear button behind the flower.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Simply...simple.

I am realizing how spoiled I am with my craft room at home. Everything at the tip of my fingers there. I am finding it hard to make a card with limited supplies while on vacation. I don't know what I was thinking with this one. Pastels? I never use pastels. It must be this ocean air!

Here's a shot of what my vaca-craft space looks like. Complete chaos. Funny, I somehow missed my glass of wine in that picture. Must have been in my other hand ;).

Christmas in July??????

Those Loonie ladies really are loony!!! On the day I began my much anticipated, long awaited vacation they make us think Christmas??!! In July????

My family and I are vacationing on Vancouver Island and despite bringing some supplies along I will admit, I thought about sitting this one out. But my husband was in the States last week and picked up a Papertrey Ink order I had sent to his brother's house in Utah. That Scarlet Jewel cardstock was calling my name all day so of course I had to play along!

Be sure to visit the crazy, I mean loonie, ladies to see all their wintery Christmas cards. You can start with my dear friend Charlene and link to the other cool creations. Char is a great friend of mine AND a valued co-worker as she is covering for me at work the next two weeks so that I can have this time off. She also introduced me to this hobby/addiction I love so much!

Well, back to the vaca! Thanks so much for visiting!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge # 11 & My Provincial Champ!

Not too sure about this one, it looked so much better in my head...ha ha. It turned out to be such a basic card. I will give this to my DH who is away on vacation right now (I hope he doesn't mind the pink). He gets much more vacation time than I do and is off on a motorcycle trip. He just called me from Carmel, CA where he is staying tonight. He is going to drive up the Oregon Coast and meet us out on Vancouver Island this weekend when my vacation starts. I can't wait!!

Also sharing another picture of my son. After winning the City Champs his team advanced to Provincials this past weekend where they amazed us parents by winning gold again! We now have an approximately eight week break before hockey starts up. He keeps us crazy busy but it is totally worth it.

Thanks for visiting and have a FANTASTIC week!

LSC #47

Another great colour combo from the Loonie Ladies this week. I cannot wait to receive the new PTI Scarlet Jewel colour, especially after seeing it with my all time favourite colour, Ripe Avocado!! For now I had to substitute and used some felt as my background colour.

Be sure to visit the Loonie Ladies blogs to see all their wonderful cards. You can start with my pal Char and link up from there.

Thanks for visiting, have a super weekend!!

With Thanks

Hi,

I was asked to make two thank you cards so whipped these up quickly. I absolutely love that PTI dp and should really use it more often. The sentiment stamp is Elzybells and I love it. That I do use all the time!

Thanks for visiting.
